Samsung launching Galaxy Note9 in early August due to poor Galaxy S9 sales

Samsung is introducing the Galaxy Note9 on August 9, which two weeks earlier than its predecessor. According to industry insiders from Taiwan, the reason is the Korean company is experiencing low sales of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ and wants to keep the momentum in user engagement before it is too late.

Samsung usually launches its flagships up to two weeks after the announcement, so an early August introduction means late August market arrival. This move should counter the poor performance of the Galaxy S9 series which according to some reports from China reached lowest levels since 2012 when the Galaxy S III was still a thing. Reports by China Times say the current flagship sold only 30 million units since its unveiling in February.

Back in the day, Samsung used to launch the Galaxy Note phone at IFA in Berlin, but in 2015 it decided to separate the Unpacked event from the technological conference. Every Samsung phablet after the Galaxy Note5 was introduced in August, with the infamous Galaxy Note7 appearing under the lights as early as August 2.

Samsung Galaxy J8: Is It Worth Paying Extra Cash or Buy Samsung Galaxy J6 Instead?

Samsung Galaxy J8: Is It Worth Paying Extra Cash or Buy Samsung Galaxy J6 Instead?

The business of budget smartphones has a large and growing market in India, and it has always been dominated by the South Korean manufacturer Samsung. The competition in this segment is cut-throat, and among the worthy mentions are the Samsung Galaxy J8 and Samsung Galaxy J6.

The phones come with many similar specs and features but do differ significantly in some areas, and of course, their pricing is tailored to suit two different segments of the budget smartphone market. Launched in May and doing very well already, the J6 is priced at Rs 14,990, clearly for the sub-fifteen thousand rupees range, while the J8 caters to those who don’t mind spending up to Rs 20,000, with a price tag of Rs 18,990.

While you will save Rs 4,000 on MRP if you buy the J6, presently the handset is offered at a discount of 6 per cent on Flipkart, which means you can save Rs 5,000 if you go for the J6 instead of the J8. So, which one is the better choice? We compare the phones to find out.

Samsung Galaxy J8 vs Samsung Galaxy J6: Display, Performance, Camera, Battery
Speed matters, so let’s begin with that. With a 4GB RAM, the J8 is clearly faster than the 3GB RAM Galaxy J6. It also matters that the J8 comes with a standard storage of 64GB while the J6 comes with 32GB storage. There is the advantage with Galaxy J6 that you can buy it in the 4GB+64GB variant as well, but then you end up paying almost as much as what you would for the Galaxy J8. The disadvantage with J8 is that it does not come in a

Thanks to the season of sales, gizmos are selling for cheaper than ever these days. There are special sales on Flipkart and Amazon, but Paytm is not one to be left behind. The Paytm Mall app is offering exclusive deals on smartphones, and among the best deals are some on the popular Huawei Honor 9 Lite. Count all the discounts and cash back savings, and you can save up to Rs 5,400 on the handset with mobile insurance. Read on as we show you how.

Honor 9 Lite: Price in India
The Huawei Honor 9 Lite has an MRP of Rs 13,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant. It comes in three colours — Glacier Grey, Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue. The price for all three variants is the same in the 32GB variant, but that is not the case with the 64GB storage, 4GB RAM variant. The Sapphire Blue handset of the 64GB variant is costlier at Rs 17,999, while the Midnight Black and Glacier Grey variants come with a price tag of Rs 16,999. The best savings on the MRP, we believe, are at Paytm Mall now.

Honor 9 Lite: Paytm Mall offers

Microsoft Edge for Android soon to get support for web page translation

Microsoft Edge, the mobile browser the Redmond-based company launched on both the Android and iOS platforms, is about to get new features and improvements. If you're running the beta version of the app, you may have already seen some changes Microsoft introduced with the latest update.

However, if you're only running the stable version of Microsoft Edge available in the Google Play Store, we'll let you know what to expect from the upcoming update.

First and foremost, Microsoft is adding support for web page translation, a much-needed feature for any modern mobile browser. The feature is currently being tested in the beta version, so expect to be able to get an automatic translation when you load a website in a different language than the one configured on your device pretty soon.

If you're using Bing Rewards with the Edge, you'll be pleased to know that Microsoft plans to fix the issue where the browser sometimes prevents users from receiving their rewards for using the search engine by default.

Another pleasant surprise is the integration of Timeline with Windows 10, so you'll be able to see all the activity on your Android smartphone too.

Last but not least, some performance improvements have been added as well, along with fixes for some well-known issues. Unfortunately, we don't have a release date for this update, but it shouldn't take too long to arrive in the Google Play Store now that's already available in the beta channel.

Motorola Just Launched Affordable Moto E5 To Take On Samsung And Xiaomi

While the now Lenovo owned company is trying to claim flagship market share, it looks like the company has still not forgotten one of its most sold series. The company recently launched an update to its Moto E lineup in the country.

With two models Moto E5 and E5 Plus, the new phones come with some much-needed updates to their older counterparts. The Moto E5 comes with a new 5.7 inch 18:9 display with 1440 x 720 resolution and the E5 Plus will come with a larger 6-inch screen with the same resolution. E5 has 2GB of RAM and it runs on entry-level Snapdragon 425 processor and has a quite sizable 4000 mAh battery.

E5 Plus will come with 3 GB RAM and Snapdragon 430 processor and 32 GB of built-in storage.

Camera wise, the E5 has a single 13 Mp f2.0 camera on its back and the E5 Plus will come with a 12 megapixel f2.0 camera the E5 will have an impressive 5000 mAh battery but be ready for large recharge timing because none of the phones support fast charging.

Coming to prices, the Moto E5 will cost $145 (Rs 9999) and the larger ( and higher spec’d) E5 Plus will cost around $175 (Rs 11,999) Considering both Samsung and Xiaomi have good phones in this price range, Moto will have a decent competition to face.
